returning home from green lake
I just got back from the Green Lake Baha'i Conference, where over a thousand Baha'is attended. I feel refreshed and invigorated.

So this is my first Green Lake Baha'i Conference. I'm really looking forward to it. And it hits me at an interesting phase of my faith.

It wasn't until I moved from downtown Madison to this near East Side neighborhood a year ago that I realized how much darker it is on Madison's streets than in Chicago. I and two other Chicago transplants were the first to move into this co-op house after it had been vacated by its previous tenants, and we were taken aback by how dark it got in the house at night.

Last weekend at the co-op house was interesting. For a couple of days, I saw no one else in the house.

But the last couple of weekends have been hot and humid, and as such, I've spent a good part of them indoors in cafes on my laptop. Last Sunday, I went from the Washington Hotel Coffee Room, to Fair Trade Coffeehouse to Mother Fool's. Today I started the afternoon at Cafe Zoma and ended up again at Mother Fool's.
